Mohamed has been providing audit and consulting services over the past 22 years to large number of clients in Egypt. He is specialized and experienced in providing services relating to Assurance, Risk Assessment, Internal Audit, Fraud Advisory, Compliance Audits, Policies and Procedures, and Corporate Governance, and other financial advisory and consulting services.
Experience
His experience spans a number of industries covering Financial Institutions, Pharmaceutical, Real Estate, Hospitality, Manufacturing, Not-For-Profit Organisations, Oil and Gas, and Telecommunications. His past experience included 16 years with 2 of the biggest four audit firms and Abu Dhabi Audit Authority in the United Arab Emirates.
He has significant experience in leading complex assignments for large, international and publicly-traded companies including various audit, consulting, and financial advisory services. He provided risk advisory services for several financial institutions and telecom companies in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
Mohamed has been providing fraud investigations for more than 20 years for multinational clients, where he was working with their organizations to improve their capabilities in combating fraud and illegal acts as well as helping them investigating suspicions or already committed fraud and advising on fraud risk and solutions to keep it at minimum level. He also provided forensic services for multinational clients relating to non-compliance with FCPA regulations, FATCA, and SOX.
Mohamed has also led many Compliance Audit assignments (Financial and Systems Audits) for many major projects financed by the European Investment Bank, European Commission, World Bank, USAID, Swiss Embassy, British Embassy, and Others. He is experienced and capable in helping management to improve the organization’s effectiveness and efficiency of controls and governance processes by providing recommendations based on deep analyses and assessments of business processes.
Qualifications and interests
Mohamed is qualified as:
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting – Egypt year 1999.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - USA year 2001.
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) - USA year 2005.
- Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) - USA year 2007.
He is a Fellow of the Egyptian Society of Accountants and Auditors (ESAA) and a member since year 2006, a member of the Egyptian Tax Society (ETS), and also a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). Mohamed is an authorized chartered accountant (register number 19361) in Egypt.
Mohamed has also been working as a facilitator for the CPA course in the American University in Cairo and Abu Dhabi Audit Authority.
